Toyota Avanza Diecast Models at Different Scales for Collectors

In yesterday's post, we introduced three Toyota Avanza Veloz toy cars by Tomica, which are ideal items for kids aged 3 to 8. However, if you are diecast model collectors, you will think these Tomica replicas fall short of collectible standards. For instance, they are not fitted with rearview mirrors which is common among Tomica cars. While this is not a defect, it keeps the models from being perfect.

In the diecast model market, the only Toyota Avanza model suitable for collectors is a 1/43 scale model, as shown in the pictures below.

This 1/43 scale Toyota Avanza model is the replica works of 2nd generation Toyota Avanza released in 2011 with codename F650. They are manufactured by the famous brand Kyosho but marked as the RIMS brand. You can choose your favorite one among blue, black, brown and gray.

In addition to the 1/43 scale model, if you are looking for a 1/18 scale Toyota Avanza model, the answer in NO, but you can select its variant as replacement.

As we mentioned before, the Toyota Avanza is sold under different nameplates in different countries. For example, it is badged as the Daihatsu Xenia in the Philippines. Meanwhile, the 2nd generation Toyota Avanza is also known as the Toyota Transmover while the 3rd generation Toyota Avanza goes by the nameplate Toyota Veloz.

In addition, FAW launched a rebadged version based on the 1st generation Toyota Avanza in China with nameplate FAW Senya M80, which hit the market in 2007 and was discontinued in 2016.

1/18 scale FAW Senya M80 diecast model was released for collectors, five different colors including black, white, red, silver and blue were available in the past, however, now it is rare to find one. If you are interested, we share its related video in following article.
